The Pondicherry Art Akademy, established in 2010 by the esteemed artist G. Sridalaadevi Mohnish, is committed to fostering creativity and empowering diverse groups, including women artists, school students, and art enthusiasts. Over the years, the Akademy has emerged as a trailblazer in the artistic community, successfully organizing 54 national and state-level art events. These initiatives have profoundly impacted over 35,000 school students, providing them with platforms to express their creativity and explore their artistic potential.
One of the Akademy’s pioneering achievements is being the first in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry to print High –
quality catalogs exclusively for school students who have excelled in national and state-level art competitions. This initiative not only celebrates their achievements but also gives them a tangible memento of their success, encouraging them to pursue their artistic dreams.
In addition to supporting students, the Akademy has provided a platform for 900 upcoming and senior artists to showcase their works, helping them gain recognition and connect with broader audiences. Recognizing the financial barriers faced by many aspiring artists, the Akademy offers financial assistance to deserving students who are passionate about art but lack the resources to join formal fine arts programs.
